Garrett Thomas Newton, 52, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Universal Healthcare in Oxford.
A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Bessie Marrow Newton.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford by the Rev. Darrel Bowles. Burial will be in Marrow’s Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
Surviving are two sisters; Delores Jones of Bullock and Diane Williamson of Clarksville, VA and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a very special friend, Marie Bailey. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Jacolyn Claiborne and Betty Carol Propst.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the Funeral Home from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. and at other times the home of Betty Ann Jones.
